Ndofusu Mbiyavanga is a percussionist and tam tam player who is a member of the world-renowned Congolese music group, Konono Nº1, known for their distinctive and electrifying "Congotronics" sound, which features DIY instruments and homemade amplification. Mbiyavanga is credited as a group member on their album Konono No. 1 Meets Batida (2016) and has been listed in the band's lineup, including for their 2010 album Assume Crash Position, where he is specifically noted for playing percussion and the tamtam. While the group was founded in 1966 in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, one source suggests Mbiyavanga was born in 1919, making him a veteran musician contributing to Konono's unique blend of traditional Bazombo trance music and raw, amplified sound.
