THE MUSICAL STORY OF DIASI KADI. 

First his popular project was released in 1991, helped by his long-term friend, Kanda Bongo Man.

Title: DIASI KADI.
Tracks:
(1) Alle Diata.
(2) Souci Ya Motema.
(3) Likambo.
(4) Paradis.
(5) Nabanzi.

This project featured some of the best Soukous musicians of the time..they include Kanda Bongo Man, Solo Sita, Shimita and Pompon Kuleta on vocals.
Guitar section: Dally Kimoko and Nene Tchakou on Solo, Mimi Kazidona on Rythm, Remy Sahlomon on Bass.

Drums: Komba Bellow.

The songs 'Souci Ya Motema' and 'Paradis' become the most favourite at that time..a duet made of Diasi and Kanda, the two who have almost similar vocal ranges!

Diasi Kadi's Musical career:
He started his musical career in Ochestre Bella Bella as a backup vocalist just like his friend Kanda Bongo Man.
 In 1982, he joined Afrisa International of Tabu Ley..together with Bella Bella bassist Shaba Kahamba (composer of the popular hit 'Pamindoni'). In 1983 he composed the song 'Mukuna' check it on the album titled FEMME D'AUTRUI by Tabu Ley. At this time he joined ranks with guys like Dino Vangu (soloist), Pompon Kuleta and others in Afrisa International.
In 1984 he joined Afro International, a popular outfit led by Mimi Ley and Shiko Mawatu (composer and guitarist.)..this is the same group that Deese Mukangi started her proffessional career with before joining AntiChoc of Bozi Boziana in 1988.
Around 1988, Diasi settled in Paris to join Dino Vangu's group, the folowing year he was part of the backup vocalist in the megahit project by the newly formed Soukous Stars, MEGA MIX Vol 1 (Lagos/ Nairobi Night).
After the release of his solo album, Diasi never participated in any major project untill his death some years back..but he was part of the Afro-Jazz project that
featured African and Caribbean musicians.
