Prince Eyango (born Ndedi Eyango on April 27, 1960) is a highly influential Cameroonian singer, songwriter, guitarist, and record producer. Known as "KING MOUAN NKUM" or "Le Roi Des Montages," he is celebrated for revolutionizing the traditional Cameroonian Makossa music genre by infusing it with a more modern, danceable, and pop-influenced style. Making his professional debut in 1983, his career skyrocketed in 1987 with his biggest hit, "You Must Calculer," which earned him the Cameroonian "Best Artist of the Year Award." As the founder and leader of his band, "Les Montagnards," he became one of the most prominent African musicians, singing in multiple languages including French and English. He relocated to the United States in 1993, where he continues to be based, operating his production company, Preya Music. He has continued to tour and release music, securing his status as a legendary figure in African music.
