MADILU'S 17th ANNIVERSARY.Today marks another year of celebrating and remembering the legend, Jean de Dieu Makiese Alias Madilu System. It's now 17 years since he passed on. He was once a member of the seminal band TPOK Jazz which dominated the Congolese scene from the 1960s to 1980s. The legend's alluring and much-informing songs Matata ya Mwasi, Si Je Savaic Ca, Nzele, Vice versa, Coesure Bureau, RTC River, Ya Jean, Colonisation, and many others are still perfect and irreplaceable. Lucas Mkenda popularly known as Mr. Nice is a Tanzanian veteran singer and one of the most celebrated vocalists in East Africa dominating East African music in the early 2000s alongside Jose Chameleone of Uganda and Jua Cali of Kenya. TPOK Jazz Nairobi tour.This was the TPOK Jazz tour of Kenya in 1991.The concert was held prior to the Super Cup match between Gor Mahia and Rivatex. In this pic are Josky, Madilu, and Ndombe opetum.
